4:00-4:20: Talk about upcoming issues
- How often to have patrol activities (Hold a patrol meeting at least once per month)
- How often to have troop trips (Take lower cost day trips every other month with the higher cost weekend trips being planned as economical as possible. Incorporate service projects into the troop trip schedule.)
- How to distribute meeting time (Add a Scout Skill and Patrol Meeting time slot into the schedule. Plan for a once a month fun night activity)
- 5 minute patrol meetings each week
- Have a "Fun / Movie" night each month
- More service projects
- Other issues
- Venturing (We can dual-register the older scouts as Ventures and use that program to expand on our trips / activities)
- Re-publish the Troop Roster (Jon Souer to give a list of the scouts in each patrol the Patrol Leaders)
- Value of campouts / cost .v. actives (We need to keep the cost in mind when we plan our activities. See troop trips discussion above)
- PLC Policy
- Reviewing Scout Fundamentals (Scout assigned on rotating basis has leadership opportunity. Assistant Patrol Leaders to make team to coordinate, Scott Roadfeldt to coach this team. Scouts will present a "Skill of the week". Award for teaching all skills through First Class.)
- How to attract more scouts especially the younger scouts. (We have a Webelows event on the calendar. It is critical that the older scouts speak to and encourage the younger scouts to be active in our troop.)
- How to attract scouts from multiple packs. (See above)
- We will need to hold elections again this fall. (PLC / Ask for volunteers and establish a list of candidates with approval of PLC and Scoutmaster.)
